Melanie Trowbridge also acts in a non-medical role as a Celebration of Life practitioner & Death Doula. Having worked within many different types of Spiritual Practices over the years, lecturing at Senior Living Facilities and Centers, and her previous work in care surrounding the topic of Death while working in Funeral Communities, she felt called to continue her path into providing spiritual care, energetic support, and assisting others and their families through the last days or months of life in an empathic and respectful way.
Her knowledge includes Death Doula training with the Gentle Passage Doula Collective, past work in the Death & Dying Communities, classes focused on this work via Bastyr University, and organizing or creating many community events surrounding the rituals and traditions of our lives, including birth, life transitions, and study in the death and dying processes.
She extends her work from her knowledge of Celebration & Ritual Planning, such as Life Celebration creations, while giving full acknowledgment to the more challenging aspects of discomfort, loss, and grief. Her goal is to bring comfort for each client, family, or friend of the family to find increased peace in each moment of someone’s final days.
If you would like to know more about her work in this area, please feel free to contact her to set up an initial Zoom or Phone meeting to find out if all is a good fit. Melanie is also happy to provide connections with other community services in this area as needed.
